An Open Letter to the Ones Who Feel the Sting of Truth
Let’s talk about something no one wants to say out loud. The truth that we’re drowning in too much. Too much stuff, too much overstimulation, too much pressure for more. And it’s not just our kids who are suffering—it’s all of us.
I know it’s uncomfortable to hear this. Trust me, it’s not easy to say either. But I’ve been inside hundreds of homes. I’ve sat with moms who are overwhelmed and stressed to the breaking point. I’ve seen the aftermath—the clutter, the financial strain, the mental load. Anxiety and depression are skyrocketing, and it’s no coincidence.
I’m not here to sugarcoat this or pretend everything is fine. I’m here to hold up the mirror and ask: What are we doing to ourselves? To our families?
When I challenge the cycle of overindulgence and offer a way to think differently, I get it—it stings. It’s not what we want to hear. But just because it’s uncomfortable doesn’t make it untrue. I’m not here to judge or tear anyone down. My goal is simple: awareness.
If this doesn’t resonate with you or your family, that’s amazing! You are one of the lucky ones, and my words shouldn’t upset you. But if this feels personal, if this pokes at something inside of you, maybe it’s time to pause and reflect.
I don’t mind being the “mean” one if it helps us break free from this cycle of excess and unhappiness. My heart is in the right place. I want us to stop asking why we’re so stressed, so disconnected, so unhappy—and start looking at the choices we’re making, at the patterns we’re passing on to our kids.
It’s not too late to change. We can step back, simplify, and make room for what really matters.
With love and truth,
